Our Event Charity Partner – Safe Steps
Safe Steps is Victoria’s 24/7 family violence response centre, providing a state-wide entry point for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence.
Safe Steps delivers programs at a state and national level. Their services include information and referral, crisis response, specialist family violence risk assessment, safety planning, and access to supported crisis accommodation.
Safe Steps provide services to all victim-survivors and recognise that most of their work is dedicated to the needs of women and children, which reflects the gendered nature of domestic and family violence. They advocate to create systemic change and effective pathways for victim-survivors from crisis to safety and living a life free from violence.
Safe Steps assists people experiencing family violence through their 24/7 phone line (1800 015 188), the provision of crisis accommodation and specialist support services. Their mission is to provide evidence-based responses for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence by creating pathways to safety through collaborative partnerships
