What is MDXO?

MDXO will be Melbourne’s FIRST Mother’s Day Rooftop Experience.

Guests will be invited to enjoy a day of amazing food, a refreshing drinks package and great live entertainment at one of Melbourne’s premier event venues, The Aviary at Crown.  Following a welcome cocktail on arrival guests can relax as they wander the boutique rooftop market, admire the city skyline or join the kids for rooftop outdoor games.

The afternoon will celebrate Mum’s with personal messages, gift bags and so much more.
We will also have exclusive Boutique Market stalls offering guests the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed rooftop shopping experience.

Whilst enjoying an amazing day out, guests will also be supporting Safe Steps:
Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre is Victoria’s statewide first response service for women, young people and children escaping family violence.

Who is this event for?

MDXO is a one of a kind chance to spoil your Mum.  We also offer a chance for guests to celebrate Mother’s Day with whoever matters to them most.  For some this could be an Aunty, Grandparent, a friend or even Dad.

MDXO is also an opportunity for Mum’s groups and friendship groups to come together to celebrate, relax and socialise.

What is the Dress Code?

As the MDXO event is held at the prestigious Crown Aviary, guests are requested to dress ‘smart casual’ and remain so for the duration of the event.

Event organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any person considered unsuitably attired,
For example: No thongs, No sleeveless singlets, no ripped clothes

Will dietary Requirements be catered for?

When booking your ticket please notify us of any dietary requirements. If we are not advised prior to the event, we will not be able to accommodate dietaries advised on the day.

What are personalised messages?

MDXO gives guests the opportunity to provide a personal message they would like displayed throughout the day to their Mum or loved one.  These notes will be played on rotation on a public screen for all guests to read and enjoy.  Help us celebrate amazing women with words of kindness, appreciation and love.

What is shared allocated seating?

MDXO will allocate seating on shared tables for this event.  This means your group may be seated with other guests.  We will do our best to ensure that all groups are seated together.  Please note that this can only be facilitated:

  • If you purchase more than 1 ticket at the time of booking that you provide a Group Name
  • If you purchase a ticket to join an existing group, we advise you to enter the existing Group Name at the time of booking to ensure your group are seated together
  • Prior to the event, contact us directly at info@mdxo.com.au with a request to be seated with a specific group or individual

Please note:  Requests for seating allocations can only be made up until 22/4/2022 and will only be guaranteed if a confirmation email is received from the MDXO Team.

Unfortunately, changes to seating arrangements cannot be made on event day under any circumstances.

Can I book a private table?

We are unable to offer bookings for private tables.  MDXO allows friends and families to get together, socialise, meet new people and share the amazing experience.

What is the Boutique Market?

Set up inside the event marquee, the MDXO Boutique Market will be a great opportunity for guests to enjoy a relaxed rooftop shopping experience.  With five specialty stalls, guests can wander at their leisure and shop as they please.

Who will be trading at the Boutique Market?

Our stall holders will be announced shortly.

The Event Marquee

MDXO will be held inside the rooftop Aviary marquee.  This gorgeous space is fitted with heating & cooling, bathrooms and a cloakroom.  This is not your average marquee, it is a luxury event space that has all the comforts of any venue complimented by stunning rooftop views.

How do I get my discount Accommodation code for Crown?

Once you have booked your tickets you will receive an email directly from IWannaTicket.  The email will include a booking code that will allow guests a 10% discount on accommodation at Crown.

How do I get to the Crown Aviary?

How do I get my free parking?

On arrival at Crown enter the Multi-Level Car Park and collect your ticket. Bring your ticket to the event and on arrival at the Aviary, make sure to get your ticket validated at the cloak room (located inside the Aviary marquee). If you do not get your ticket validated, you will be required to pay the parking fee.

What do I bring on the day?

Please bring along your ticket, either printed or on your phone.  These will be scanned upon entry to The Aviary.

Where do I buy a ticket?

What are the ticket Fees?

Your ticket price is inclusive of GST.

IWannaTicket will charge a small booking fee per ticket purchased, additional to the ticket price.

If you choose to purchase tickets through the payment plan, a $10 fee will be charged to set up & manage the payment plan.

Are tickets refundable?

MDXO tickets are non-refundable, however in certain circumstances you can apply to have your ticket name transferred to another person. (Please visit the Terms and Conditions section on this website for more detail on the Ticketing Policy.)

How do I book tickets for a group and get seated together?

If you are booking multiple tickets in the one transaction, please ensure that you provide a Group Booking Name.

During the booking process you will be asked: “Are you booking more than 1 ticket?  If yes, please provide a Group Booking Name e.g. your full name. Please ensure that you complete this field.  This will allow your group to be seated together and will also establish a booking name should any other family or friends decide to purchase a ticket and join your group at a later date.

If you are booking either one or more tickets and want to join an existing group, please ensure that you provide the existing Group Booking Name. 

Please do not create a new Booking Name as this will result in you not being seated with the existing group.

Requests for seating allocations can only be made up until 22/4/2022 and will only be guaranteed if a confirmation email is received from the MDXO Team. If you are wanting to join an existing group after receiving your tickets, please contact us directly at info@mdxo.com.au with a request to be seated with a specific group or individual.

Can I book my own table?

If you wish to book your own table, there are a limited number of VIP tables for 8 or 10 guests available. If you want to book a VIP table with exclusive seating for your group only, click here: BUY TICKETS HERE.

VIP Tables available online are for adult tickets only.  Should you wish to book a VIP Table including children or teens, please get in touch with the MDXO team at info@mdxo.com.au and we can arrange a custom price and booking code for you.

What do I get with my VIP table?

Each VIP table will receive exclusive, non-shared seating with their group in a prime location.

Can I book a VIP table if I have children or teens in my group?

If your table will have children or teens, please get in touch with the MDXO team at info@mdxo.com.au for a reduced rate.

I have ordered tickets online but they were not attached to my email?

Tickets purchased through the IWannaTicket website will be emailed out with your receipt on the same day as purchase.  If you receive the email and there are no tickets attached this means that you have not completed the details required for each ticket e.g. Full Name & Dietary Requirements when booking.  You can click into the link in your IWannaTicket email to go back into your booking and add this information and hit save.  Once saved your tickets will be released and you can print them.

Who are Safe Steps?

Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre is Victoria’s Statewide 24/7 first response service for women, young people and children experiencing family violence.

They are committed to ensuring all women and children are able to live free from abuse.

How is MDXO supporting Safe Steps?

MDXO will work with Safe Steps in the following ways:

  • Make a donation from each ticket sold
  • Set up a direct donation link on the MDXO ticketing platform
  • Set up a direct donation link on the MDXO website
  • Raise awareness of Safe Steps and their services across all marketing platforms prior to, during and beyond the event.

Covid Safety

What if I feel unwell with Covid related symptoms prior to the event?

If you feel unwell with symptoms including cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath, you must stay at home. Please notify MDXO immediately either by email at info@mdxo.com.au or call 0412 657 920.

Can I get a refund if I have Covid related symptoms prior to the event?

There are no refunds or credits offered for a change of mind. Should you experience any Covid symptoms such as cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath and cannot attend the event, you can apply to have your ticket name transferred to another person. Please contact the MDXO team directly at info@mdxo.com.au . A medical certificate may be required if you are seeking a refund due to a Covid related issue. Inability to attend due to illness of any kind is not a basis for a refund.

Is MDXO a Covid safe event?

In line with the standard conditions of entry, we will implement additional health and safety measures to ensure your safety and wellbeing. Please note that these additional conditions of entry apply to everyone attending the MDXO and are subject to change without notice.

Should any new Government mandated restrictions or directions be implemented prior to the event, all guests will receive a notification via email to advise of any updated requirements for attendance.

Covid Safe measures that will be implemented include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Reduced overall ticket capacity
  • Digital tickets, ensuring contact details are recorded
  • Regular touchpoint cleaning
  • Additional staffing, including security and event staff to help manage social distancing
  • Covid Safe Officer onsite to ensure compliance
  • Hand sanitizer stations
  • Increased communications to patrons and staff
  • Event staff health check and training
